FEES
Fees vary according to
group level of participation and include a team t-shirt and
swim cap. Team suits are optional (but encouraged) and order
forms are given out at the fall registration meeting and/or upon
request. USA
Swimming Registration is required for
all swimmers due to insurance benefits provided
to USA Swimming members. Registration
information is available on this website. Scholarships are available
for those in need. New swimmers are encouraged to join OCSC;
the only requirement is the ability to swim a 25 meter freestyle
and back stroke and the completion of TigerShark Swim Camp.
OCSC fees are divided into
several distinct group level categories described below:
Group 1
Group 2
Group 3
Group 4
Group Pre Elite
Group Elite
High School
Oregon Community Swim Club
Registration:
The amount of pool time assigned to the swim
groups, coaching expenses, and administrative costs are evaluated
by the Board in determining these fees for each
session. No fee occurs, except the USA membership fee,
if a swimmer drops within the first week of practice. Registration fees
will not be refunded, except in cases of injury or illness
confirmed by a physician that eliminates the swimmer from
participation for the remainder of the session. In certain
circumstances, fees may be prorated at the discretion of the
Board.
USA Swimming Inc. Membership
Dues:
All swimmers must be
members of USA Swimming, Inc. and Wisconsin Swimming, Inc. which
provides insurance coverage for swimmers during practices, meets
and other OCSC sponsored activities. The annual dues are required
even if the swimmer decides not to compete in swim meets. This fee
is due prior to the swimmer entering the water.
Meet Entry Fees:
Swimmers pay entry fees for
each individual and relay event in which they are entered in a
meet. Meet information, provided to swimmers, also identifies
the fees
per entry for the meet. Therefore, OCSC requires an initial deposit
of $25.00 (subject to change) at the time of registration, which is
deposited into the swimmer’s swim fund account. The Swim Fund
Coordinator pays the host team for all OCSC entry fees and debits
each swimmer’s Swim Fund account for his/her fees. A
swimmer’s account will not be charged if cancellation is made
before entry fees are sent in. Once meet entries are sent in these
fees become non-refundable. Each swimmer must maintain a positive
balance in his/her individual entry account or you risk the
possibility of not being entered in meets and /or being assessed
penalties. Unused balance in an individual’s swim fund
account will be returned upon departure from the
team.
