Why is Conference different than the other meets we swim in during the season?

Swimming is a team sport, and this is the one meet where this really shines.  Conference is where our team swims against all of the other teams in our conference (Mid-Wisconsin Conference) and where the top three scoring teams take home traveling team trophies.   At this meet, it is also a great opportunity to show team spirit through the selected theme and “costume.” This year we are embracing an "Olympic" theme.

What does this mean for OCSC swimmers?

Swimmers do not get to pick the events they would like to swim in this meet.  It is a “coaches’ choice” meet.  Because the club can only receive points for three swimmers in any one event, regardless of how many swimmers participate in the event, coaches try to put swimmers who have the best chance of getting the most points for the team in events.  This means that a swimmer may be put in an event that is not a favorite event or not an event the swimmer is closest to for a state cut; the focus is what is best for the team for this meet.

Who is in our Conference?

The Mid-Wisconsin Conference consists of the following teams:  Central Wisconsin Wave Makers (CWWM), Fort Atkinson Swim Team (FAST), Oregon Community Swim Club (OCSC), Stoughton Aqua Racers (STAR), Waterloo Swim Club (LOO), Watertown Aquatic Team (WAT), and Waunakee Rural Aquatic Team (WRAT).

Morning warm-ups for ages 10 & under, 7:30 a.m. (dressed and ready by 7:15)

Afternoon warm-ups will not begin before 11a.m. for 11 & over. Be sure to wear team suit, cap and costume.
